Arthroscopic knee surgery is a minimally-invasive surgical procedure that can be performed on patients suffering from various knee conditions such as ACL tears, meniscal injuries, patella (kneecap) problems and cartilage injuries. It is performed through small incisions with the help of a thin illuminated tube called an arthroscope.
The rotator cuff is a group of 4 muscles in the shoulder joint including the supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis. These muscles originate in the scapula and attach to the head of the humerus through tendons. The rotator cuff forms a sleeve around the humeral head and glenoid cavity, providing stability to the shoulder joint while enabling a wide range of movements.
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is a surgical procedure to replace a torn or damaged ACL ligament in your knee with a new ACL tissue graft obtained most commonly from your own body (autograft) or in rare cases from a deceased donor (allograft).
